Reimbursement agreements index books (14 v., 1930-1996), including books, kept by the County Clerk, arranged alphabetically by surname of recipient in which all information about the agreements was recorded, including reimbursement agreements for welfare cases (non-old age assistance); institutional liens (3 cubic ft., 1938-1979 (bulk 1967-1979)), including significant information not recorded in the index books, relating to patients at local institutions who were unable to pay for their care, including name of institution and dates of treatment; Monmouth County Welfare Board minutes and other records (14 cubic ft., 1928-1991), chiefly agendas and minutes (1932-1977, 1984-1990), two scrapbooks, newsletters, photographs of directors, budget manual, records of assistance granted, and miscellany; and institutional liens (3 cubic ft., 1938-1979 (bulk 1967-1979)) filed by the County Clerk for patients at various state hospitals and other state institutions who were unable to pay for their long term care, containing information not found in the reimbursement agreements index books, such as name of institution and dates of admission.
